Hello all
Today I am going to share a very special post which is and will always be special and close to my heart.
My first ever ORDER for a CAKE.
I never thought that ever in my life I would be giving any acceptance speech But all thanx to my Guruji’s and parents blessings, here I’m thanking my friend who believed in me and gave me my first ever order of a CAKE for her daughter’s b’day.
I was shocked when just in between our chit chat she asked me to make a cake for her daughter’s b’day.
I was not sure whether I would be able to pull it off. But again God’s magic worked and my bestie stepped in to help me.
We both thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of making this cake, from finalizing the design, buying the ingredients, baking, making the buttercream and then decorating it.
Thank you so much Vivek n Tamanna for believing in me n trusting me whole heartedly and giving me this order.
I was a bit hesitant at first but all thanx to my bestie kalpana for stepping in to help me out in making it.
And last but not the least a big thanks to my hubby and Kalpana’s hubby and our kids who supported us unconditionally and encouraged us.
Hope,Vivek n Tamanna,I became a special part of your special occasion through my Cake.
I’ve used my tried n tested recipe to make basic sponge cake. Just added 2 tbsp Cocoa powder and 1 tbsp milk to half of the batter.
In the greased and dusted pans poured plain vanilla flavor n chocolate flavor layer by layer. Just to give it a MARBLE EFFECT.
For Cake try this recipe: Rainbow Bundt Cake
In the mentioned recipe’s ingredients two cakes of sizes 9″ and 7″ were made.
To make this Doll Cake we made four layers- 2 *9″, 7″, 5″ half sphere( in a bowl)
I moistened the layers with SUGAR SYRUP.
In a pan put 1/4th cup water and 1/4th cup Sugar.
Just warm it till the sugar melts and gets completely dissolved.
Let it cool.
When its completely cooled add 2 drops of Vanilla Essence.
For BUTTERCREAM check this:Thandai Nuts Cake
With the help of a cookie cutter cut the centre from each prepared layer.
Apply sugar syrup on a layer. Slather it with Buttercream.
Stack the second layer and repeat the process with other layers.
Crumb coat the cake.
Left it in the fridge overnight.
Following day decorated with Buttercream Rosettes.
