DIRECTIONS:
Wash the dals and soak them separately for 3-4 hours.
Drain the water completely.
Transfer the dals to a blender and grind them to make a paste along with chilies and ginger.
Blend to smooth paste adding water only if required.
Take it out in a bowl and add salt.
Beat till the mixture gets fluffy and light.
You can do it either with wire whisk or with an electric beater.
In a wok or kadai put oil and let it heat till it becomes hot.
Now either drop spoonfuls of batter in the hot oil or else dip your hand in the water, and start dropping them one by one to hot oil.
Keep the flame to lower to medium and stir them occasionally.
Fry the ladoos till they become golden brown.
Once they turn to golden brown color take them out from the wok.
(Alternatively, You can deep fry them or make them in Appe pan.
Heat the appe pan on a medium flame and grease a with a tsp of oil.
Pour 1 tbsp of the batter into each mould, cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame till the outer surface becomes golden brown and then turn each appe upside down using a skewer or fork so as to cook on the other side.
Repeat to prepare more appes).
