Paneer Sabudana Vadas/ Cottage Cheese Sago Cutlets Healthy twist given to traditional Sabudana/Sago vadas- NO POTATOES, NO OIL, NO FRY!!!!! (Apt recipe for fasts) Preparation time: 30 minutes Cooking time:15minutes
Yields: 11-12 INGREDIENTS:
Cottage cheese/ paneer- 2 cups (mashed) Sabudana/ Sago- 2 cups (soaked and slightly crushed) Spinach- 2 cups (chopped) Garam masala powder- 4 teaspoon Coriander powder- 4teaspoon Red chilli powder- 4teaspoon Amchoor powder- 2 teaspoon Salt to taste (I've used Rock salt/ sendha namak as I was making them to be eaten during fast. You can use normal salt as well)
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse clean Sago or Sabudana and soak in the water for about 2-3 hours. After that drain it and squeeze out all the water. Add rest of the ingredients as well. Mix well. There should no lumps. Shape them the way you like. Keep them in the fridge for about an hour if you are not in a hurry, otherwise skip this part. By keeping it in the fridge all the ingredient's flavors will incorporate very well and the cutlets will have a crunchy crispy exterior.
You can either deep fry the cutlets or shallow fry them or you can bake them in Air fryer like I did. Either way they will be a hit. You can bake them at 180*C for about 15 minutes.
Serve them hot with the choice of your chutney or ketchup.
Enjoy the guilt free treat!!!! |
