SEVIYAAN/ VERMICELLI PUDDING
Sometimes you are not in a mood to put up an elaborate meal. But still if the situation or the need of the hour is so then what to do? We just try to make something quick yet relishing.
Whenever I’m in a no cook mood n yet have to make some sweet this pudding always comes to my rescue/mind. Not only is this easy to make but its high on taste too. From start to finish it just takes 20-25 mins n you are ready with a heavenly bowl of seviyaan.
To bring in my twist, I added strawberry crush to give it a beautiful Pink hue. And I never knew that this simple twist will take this simple dish to another level. The taste of Seviyaan came out really well n was quite different from what we usually eat. Do give it a try.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk 1Ltr.
Roasted Vermicelli 80 Gms
Sugar 1 Cup
Strawberry Crush 4Tbsp
Rose water 1Tsp
Chopped Cashews 1Tbsp
Chopped Almonds 1Tbsp
Chopped Pistachios 1Tbsp
DIRECTIONS:
In a pan start boiling milk. I’ve used double cream milk to make it more richer n tastier.
When the milk starts boiling add Vermicelli.
I’ve used pre roasted vermicelli. Just in case you are unable to find it, you can use the normal unroasted one n roast them in 1 tbsp of ghee.
Keep stirring. Keep the flame on medium low.
After 10-15 mins you’ll see vermicelli have absorbed milk n have become soft.
Milk will be reduced by now.
Add sugar. Mix well.
Keep stirring otherwise sugar can stick to the bottom of the pan.
After about 5-6 mins all sugar will be dissolved n you will see thick consistency of Seviyaan.
Add chopped nuts n Rose water.
Add strawberry crush. N mix well.
Switch off the flame.
You can serve these seviyaan hot,warm or cold.
