Carrot Halwa Trifle/ Gajar Halwa Trifle
 
Indian twist given to very popular Continental Dessert 'Trifle' by adding Gajar Halwa.
 
Serves- 9-10 people 

INGREDIENTS:

*Cake pieces- 2cups
For making Cake I have followed my own super flavorful recipe- Persian love cake

*Custard- of 500 ml Milk
Make the custard according to pack instructions with the Custard powder, Milk and Sugar to create a really thick custard. 
 
*Carrot Beetroot Halwa-2 cups 
For making Halwa I have followed my own delicious recipe- Carrot Beetroot halwa 
Or you can simply make Gajar halwa/ Carrot Halwa  
 
*Whipped cream- 200 ml
Whip the heavy cream till stiff peaks. 

*Fruits- Strawberries (chopped)-3-4
Blueberries-1/2 cup
Pomegranate Arils- 1/2 cup

*Slivered Nuts to garnish- Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews 

*Maraschino Cherries- to garnish
 

HOW TO ASSEMBLE TRIFLE 
 
Line the bottom of the dish or glasses with the cake slices.

Spoon over the custard, in a thick layer. Leave it for 5-10 minutes to set.

Next, spoon some Gajar halwa over the custard layer.

Finally, finish with a thick layer of whipped cream either spooned over or piped using a piping bag.
Decorate with strawberry slices and other fruits and nuts.
