Raj Katori/ Katori Chaat/ Raj Kachori
Chaat, the word itself is more than enough to tantalize your taste buds and cause you to salivate. I am a biiiiig biiiiig fan of chaat, a big chatori (a person who is in love with chaats).
Being born and brought up in Delhi (India) Chaats have always been an inseparable dish on our daily menu. Be it to welcome guests, in a party, wedding or for those 4 pm hunger pangs, chaat is always there to please our taste buds or to welcome our guests.
There is so much variety in chaats that you can always pick a new choice. My personal favorite among chaats is the King of Chaats -‘RAJ KACORI’!!
The experimental me wanted to give a twist to the traditional scrumptious Raj Kachoris. Tadaaa!!! Here it is.
A fun spin on the king of all Chaats, RAJ KATORI aka RAJ KACHORIS !!! Instead of deep frying the Poori which is used in Raj Kachoris I have made Katoris or Cups which are made by baking Filo sheets.
Crispy Phyllo/Filo pastry sheets cups, filled with all the regular flavorful and scrumptious fillings, are used in this Raj Katori.
Taste wise these cute Chaat cups or katoris were same like Raj Kachoris but the difference is the cover or the case in which this filling sits. Instead of making it the traditional way I have put the filling in the cups which I made using Phyllo Pastry sheets.
They are looking so beautiful, so yummy and so gorgeous aren’t they?
Believe me they were as tasty and yummy as Raj Kachoris are. So, now give your Raj Kachoris a new Avatar and get all the praises and pats and accolades from family and friends!!!!
Raj Katoris takes time to make but the best part is you can either make all the stuffing elements and katoris beforehand and can just assemble the chaat before serving.
So let’s get started! Let me show you how you could make these yummy Raj Katoris!!!There are three steps to make these Raj Katoris.
